Search a Threshold: you can search by one or more of the following criterias

Disciplines:

Tick the disciplines that should be involved with the thresholds you are looking for.

Modalities:

Tick the modalities that should be involved with the thresholds you are looking for.

Unit:

Select the unit that should be involved with the thresholds you are looking for.

Field of application:

Select the field of application that should be involved with the thresholds you are looking for.

Authority:

Select the authority that should have provided the thresholds you are looking for.

Search a Field of Application: the search is made by name either by entering free text or selecting directly a name in the list of available Fields of Application.

Free text:

Enter keyword(s) that should be found in the Field of application's name.

List of choices:

Choose from the list of available Fields of application the one you would be interested in.

Search a Unit: you can search by one or more of the following criterias

By quantity name:

Select the quantity name that you are interested in.

By unit name:

Select the unit that you are interested in.

By unit symbol:

Select the unit symbol that you are interested in.

By basic unit powers:

select the basic unit powers that you are interested in.

Search a Norm: you can search by one or more of the following criterias

By name:

By free text:

Enter keyword(s) that should be found in the Norm's name.

By list of choices:

Choose from a list of norms names.

By author:

Enter keyword(s) that should be found in the Norm's author's name.

By publication date:

Enter full date or year that should correspond with the publication of the Norm you are interested in.

Search an Authority: the search is made by name either by entering free text or selecting directly a name in the list of available Authorities.

Free text:

Enter keyword(s) that should be found in the authority's name.

List of choices:

Choose from the list of available authorities the one you would be interested in.
Remark: Authorities are given as authority name (organization name)

(When a record is created or edited, Red fields must be set, Blue fields are optionals).

Create a new Threshold:

General information:

Title: title of the threshold. Must be as specific as possible.
Remarks: Any remarks regarding the threshold.
Memo link: URL link to more informations on the threshold.
Status: Status of the threshold. Can be up-to-date or obsolete

One (and only one) of the following two section must be set.

Value: Insert the threshold value
Scale: corresponding to the threshold value expressed as an usual power of 10 (e.g.: …, -3 = milli, 0 = basic unit, 3 = kilo, 6 = mega, …). Default value = 0

Choose from the list the norm corresponding to the threshold you are about to enter.
If it does not exist yet, you can create it by clicking the GO button.

Unit:

Select the Unit that corresponds to the threshold you are about to enter.
If it does not exist yet, you can create it by clicking the GO button.

Field of application:

Select the field of application that corresponds to the threshold you are about to enter.
If it does not exist yet, you can create it by clicking the GO button.

Taxonomy:

Tick the disciplines that are involved with the thresholds you are entering.
Tick the modalities that are involved with the thresholds you are entering.

Create a new Field of Application:

Name:

Enter the name of your new field of application.

Description:

Enter the description of your new field of application.

Remarks:

Enter remarks on your new field of application.

Create a new Unit:

Quantity name:

Enter the name of your new quantity.

Unit name:

Enter the name of the unit that correspond to your new quantity.

Unit symbol:

Enter the corresponding unit symbol.

Basic unit powers:

Enter the corresponding MKSA decomposition.

Create a new Norm:

Name (or reference number):

Enter the name of your new norm.

Author:

Enter the author's name of your new norm.

Publication date:

Enter full date or year of publication of your new norm.

Reference URL:

Enter URL linking to the place where the norm can be downloaded.

Create a new Authority:

Entity name:

Enter the name of your new entity.

Organization:

Enter the name of the organization to which your new entity belongs.

Remarks:

Enter remarks on your new entity.

Login:

Enter a login name for your new entity.

Password:

Enter a password for your new entity.

Confirm password:

Confirm the password for your new entity.

Only threshold that belong to the logged in user can be edited by this user.
To edit a record, one must first find it and then edit its fields following the same rules as for the creation of a new record.
